It’s Christmas morning and your kids have unwrapped their presents… That’s when you see it: written right there on the side of the box are words that a lot men do not like to read; “some assembly required.”  I don’t do well with these as I rarely will actually read the directions, I mean where is the challenge in that? So there have been times where I have done the assembling and I have some parts left over…spare parts…. my mind races to thoughts like; will it stay together, will it work, will anyone even know?

Have you ever felt like a “spare part?” Maybe you feel like those spare parts; never going to be used, no use for me….Do you feel like you have no chance of playing with team, or not getting a role to do something? Did you know that you are NOT a spare part? Did you know that God does NOT create spare parts? He has created you with a purpose to do something, to fulfill a gap somewhere. He has given you talents and skills to accomplish your purpose! Now the thing is, you have to acknowledge that this is true and not feel like that spare part. You have to get up and do something and say something. Quit waiting to be invited to play – guess what you may never be invited to play. Why? Some people; managers, pastors, leaders,etc are so busy focusing on many things that you may honestly slip by them, especially if you feel like a spare part!  Stand up and be excited!

God created you for something special. If you are really not sure what that is – ASK HIM. You will not learn much in life with out asking questions… God is here for you and for me – He desires our relationship and wants you to fulfill your purpose, the purpose He has planted within you.

Have an extraordinary week and quit laying around like a spare part, because you are not one!
