My new love of riding a bike is allowing me some awesome “God time.” I have been able to spend some time with Him with no distractions. I don’t bike and talk on my cell, I don’t bike and ipod or anything else distracting. I ride and take in what is around me and look at the things that God has created.
Today in the middle of the Chain of Rocks bridge I took a break and watched the river move swiftly below me. It reminded me how nothing really stays the same. That water, like my life and yours is in constant motion and change. We wake up every day as a new creation, yet I wonder how many of us really remember or believe that. We head out into the world with so many good intentions, yet do we even take the time to say good morning to our Daddy? Do we spend time with Him at any point in our day or has He become our “Sunday Father?”
He is there waiting for us every morning, yearning to have a relationship with us…..
Leviticus 26:12-13 (The Message) “I’ll set up my residence in your neighborhood; I won’t avoid or shun you; I’ll stroll through your streets. I’ll be your God; you’ll be my people. I am God, your personal God who rescued you from Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians. I ripped off the harness of your slavery so that you can move about freely.
I want to put this in simple terms for you to think about and meditate on:
* How is your relationship with Christ?
* What does it look like?
* Can it be better?
* How will you make it better?
