Back to reality

Back to “reality.” Okay first I must let you all in on a little “secret” I was out of town for 8 days on vacation. So fasting from some technology was the thing to do, in all honesty though every time I have taken a vacation in the past I have brought my lap top for internet use, emails, etc. I have had my cell phone with me every where I have went and so I never escaped it either.

GUESS WHAT?! I was able to escape the computer, the cell phone, the internet and even a lot of television!!

To all of my friends that decided they would try and “test me” by texting and calling my cell – Yes I got your messages – TODAY! Yes I saw that you called – TODAY! LOL Thanks for the messages and encouragement that some of you shared!

My wife and I had a great time being away in the Ozark Mountains and I had a lot of time to actually think about life, where I am at and where I am going. I learned a lot about myself and my relationship with Christ on this trip. I learned a lot about the time that I am wasting every week through the use of technology and it is time to make some serious adjustments – I want to and need to be more productive with the time God has given me – there are too many things I want to and need to accomplish in my life. God reminded me through many people, shows and scenery this past week that He has given me tasks to do and that I need to begin focusing in on these and start “moving mountains!” The best part is that I realized you can still have a lot of fun and still get things done! So to speak this – I am going to still have fun – in fact more fun – but I am also going to be getting things done!

So for those of you actually taking the time to read this note (THANK YOU!), I will  share with you now – I am going to be blocking some FB applications so I do not get distracted and that I can stay on the path I need to be on. So if you no longer see me on certain applications – it is not that I don’t want to be “your friend, your neighbor, know my favorite color, etc.” I just want to start fresh and accomplish some serious tasks and reach for some new dreams and goals!

Something for you to ask yourself and ponder: “where am I wasting my time?”

Have blessed week!
