Life or Fear

Tick, tick, tick goes the clock.  Sand is flowing through an hourglass. Gong, gong, gong goes the grandfather clock!

Time, all time, yours and mine is drifting away every day. Not one of us is growing any younger. What are you doing with the time you have been given? Are you living life or living in fear of the end of life? Are you in the moment or somewhere far off in thought?

When you are with your family, are you really with them or are you on your cell phone? When you are at work, are you there or are you surfing the internet? Are you giving your all or is your all giving you – away?

Tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us, in fact the next hour isn’t! Anything could happen from an accident, heart attack, tornado, earthquake, lightning strike, war, robbery, etc. YES, I know, such a terrible thought and such terrible things to “think about.” Well, don’t think about those things and live in the moment of NOW.

Now maybe you are thinking this is silly; tornado and earthquakes? Well, here is an interesting stat: How many quakes were there in the USA today? In the past 24 hours, United States had 66 quakes up to magnitude 4.4. (4/30 – May 1 9:45am) AND there were 7 tornado reports on 4/30! Really, anything could happen.

I am not wanting to cause any fear, bring you down, etc.

I want you to know that you need to be living and not fearing. The lives you have the ability to touch and change, just by saying hello and offering a smile is incredible! Even more so, just by smiling and being friendly could change someone’s entire life plan!

I don’t care who you are, what you look like, what you talk like or where you live. YOU have the ability to change someone’s day just by being kind. YOU have the ability to be the best parent and spouse by setting down your phone and being present with your family. YOU have the opportunity to do something amazing at work if you’d just apply what you already know. YOU, who might have received bad health news, still have the ability to have an impact on those around you and change them forever. YOU who just lost a child, do not stop going forward in life!

YOU have a story to share that will change lives!

But again, the clock is ticking, sand is flowing and that grandfather clock is chiming away. Our time is slipping away – with or without any noise. What will you do? Which will you choose? Fear or life?

Thanks for stopping by the Fire
